I have been repairing computers for almost 20 years now.  If you can think of it, I have fixed it.  If your computer is working slow, acting strange or simply will not even boot, let me look at it for you.  I will give it a comprehensive diagnostic, pinpoint the root of the problem and restore the computer back to a healthy state. 

Due to the amount of time I dedicate to each computer, I require that the computer be delivered to my location.  A pickup / dropoff option is also available at an additional cost. (See prices)  This is due to the fact that registry, antivirus, anti-malware, file structure and fragmentation scans alone will take multiple hours to complete.  I insist on performing all of these services to guarantee a healthy, happy computer (and user!).

If you have specific issues with your computer, are getting errors, or if you believe your computer is simply not performing as well as you believe it should, then this is the choice for you.  I will diagnose and address the problem you are encountering directly and bring the computer back to 100% working status.  I will also perform a free tune up to bring your computer to an even better working state than before.  (steps 3 through 7 as listed below)

If the problem is found to be caused by a virus or any other malware, I will contact you immediately and inform you of the specific virii/malware present.  If you agree to a comprehensive scan and removal, then the service changes to the 'Virus/Malware/Spyware removal & Tune up' service and you will not be charged for the diagnostic.


Virus / Malware Removal

There certainly is a wealth of information on the internet.  Unfortunately there is also an abundance of people looking to take advantage of anyone they can.  The methods in which they do so is ever evolving as well.  This is when experience with such matters is most important in the detection and removal of such means.  In many cases, I have found virii that major antivirus software failed to locate.

Included is the following..

1. A comprehensive log detailing all steps taken during the repair.
   (This will be saved as a file named "Repair Log.TXT" placed upon the desktop)
   
   
2. A thorough and exhaustive search of all possible malware and virii that may be present on the system.  This includes the removal of questionable browser helper objects (BHO's) installed in internet explorer and other browsers. This also includes the manual changes needed to the internet connection and system settings that most antivirus software fail to perform. (Antivirus software attempts to keep you from getting infected. It does not repair the damage or changes made from an infection. Many users find that they still cannot access the internet or all functions of the computer after a virus has been cleaned up using an antivirus program)
   
   
3. A cleanup performed on the hard drive. Temporary Internet Files, temporary system and installation files, recycle bin, faulty page files, windows error reports and memory dumps are removed to increase hard drive space
   
   
4. All Microsoft updates downloaded and applied.  (This is especially important for computers that have been infected by virii as the windows update function is disabled to make the virii harder to detect and remove.  I have repaired XP computers that were still using Service Pack 1 due to this issue.)
   
   
5. The Windows registry will be cleaned up and optimized. This involves the removal of registry keys that can be leftover from uninstalled programs, virii, etc. This is an important step towards a healthy computer. 
   
   
6. A scan of the file system structure to check for broken files and other possible future issues that may contribute to startup/system errors and blue screen errors
   
   
7. Your windows startup file list will be manually optimized to increase the amount of speed and memory available on your computer.  This step will directly improve how fast your computer will boot and shut down. 
   
   
8. Hard drive defragmentation will be performed as well.  Highly fragmented files will affect how fast a file can be accessed from the hard drive.  It can also lead to file corruption and system crashes.      If antivirus software is not present on the system, a leading free-of-charge antivirus software will be downloaded and installed on the system to prevent future issues.

10. A temporary copy of the registry and user data will be kept on hand for 2 weeks following the repair to prevent catastrophic damage in the case of an unrelated virus attack, a corrupted registry (typically from power outages or improper shutdowns), or an infected computer or external drive on your network.  The data will be deleted after 2 weeks.  This is directly related to the next item on this list.
    
    
11. A 2 week guarantee that includes all repairs related to the initial issue to be performed free of charge within 2 weeks of repair.  All additional and unrelated services requested for the same computer will be performed for 50% off during this time as well.  (For example, if you order a data backup, or a hardware installation)  I have never had a computer come back to me regarding the same issue, but for peace of mind I make this guarantee.
